Score one for the good guys.
Yesterday was an exciting day for us! j.RENEĆ interviewed with Jacques Steinberg of the New York Times and we got our first big media bite since we announced the tour.
Remember to come out to the launch party this Thursday at Scratch DJ Academy (RSVP here: http://on.fb.me/i1wUhf) and join us at our first concert this Friday night at Global Technology Preparatory in East Harlem.
Thank you all for the continued support!
Yesterday
- Early morning flight to Austin
- Repeated usage of the word ma’am (southern drawl included) *I’m a sucker for some southern hospitality*
- United with my Hall Pass Tour team
- IHOP two blocks from our hotel
- Hi5s and hugs from strangers
- Shooting stars
- Bacon fried rice from a Filipino food cart (@BeMorePacific)
- Home-made jambalaya on the rooftop of a bar by a dude named Chet who served it with his Mom
- Reunited with my roommate from freshman year in college
- Saw amazing sets from J*Davey, Recess, Pac Div, Stalley and Black Milk
- Bumped into folks from back home and connected with some really kind, beautiful people
Humbled and grateful. Thank you Austin, TX. Thank you SXSW. Rested and ready for Day 2.
